From your PASSION to ours The Training and Development Generalist will be responsible to improve employee development from date of hire through job advancement potential; partner with business colleagues to clearly defines roles / responsibilities and implements effective training so employees can reach their full potential; and improve employee retention and foster employee engagement. From your EXPERTISE to ours Key responsibilities for this position include: * Develop employee engagement through effective training opportunities in support of employees' strengths * Develop hourly work force skills so they are able to perform the roles and responsibilities of their jobs * Develop manager, supervisor, and lead employees' skills to become effective coaches * Establish, communicate and implement opportunities for growth through effective training * Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, or consultation with managers / supervisors * Schedule and record training activities; evaluate program effectiveness * Evaluate modes of training delivery, such as in-person or virtual to optimize training effectiveness, training costs, and environmental impacts * Develop alternative training methods if expected improvements are not seen * Work with Corporate Training and Development to support and implement Company initiatives * Present information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, computer-based training or presentations * Provide support for employee training programs on all shifts * Work with all departments to ensure proper adherence to GMP, GSP, FSSC practices, and QC policies and procedures, and proper maintenance of equipment * Travel and / or extended or off work hours may be required * This description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not proscribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned. From your STORY to ours Qualified applicants will contribute the following: Education Bachelor's Degree in Adult Education, Training and Development, or a related field preferred Experience 3+ years' work coordinating and delivering workplace training to a diverse audience in assorted disciplines in a manufacturing environment preferred Specialized Knowledge Education and Training - Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects Language (bilingual highly preferred) - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English and Spanish languages including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar Skills / Abilities Training initiatives - select and use training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new skills Active Listening - ability to provide full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made and asking appropriate questions Effective communication - the ability to clearly articulate information with no misinterpretations Monitoring - Monitoring/Assessing current state and develop actions for future state (e.g. skill assessment, development plans, performance gaps) Computer Skills Microsoft Office applications including: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook Computer-based training software: Alchemy or other Learning Management System Video conferencing software: Zoom or other system Professional Certifications Member of ATD - Association for Training and Development is a plus ATD Training (Train-the-Trainer) Certification is a plus ATD Coaching Certification is a plus Physical Demands: Periods sitting at a desk while working on a computer and periods of standing during a training activity. $70,000 to $80,000 per year + 10% bonus
