We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager, to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, accuracy of accounting records, cost accounting analysis, application of information technology, conformance with financial controls, ensuring that reported results comply with accounting principles and standards, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. Accounting Manager responsibilities will also include financial risk management.

Accounting Responsibilities Include:



  • Managing all finance and accounting operations
  • Coordinating and directing the preparation and closing month end and year-end financial statements for independent audit or review
  • Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and report variances
  • Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements
  • Manage, mentor, and train employees.
  • Manage all accounting operations including: billing, A/R, A/P, GL and bank reconciliation, cost accounting, inventory accounting and revenue recognition
  • Expert in percentage of completion revenue recognition
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Establishes & monitors overall accounting policies, internal controls, and accounting practice
  • Manages the company's financial reporting system, and generates monthly financial statements and ensures the integrity of the balance sheet
  • Maintains the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers to reflect the financial affairs of the company properly
  • Oversees accounts receivables to ensure timely and accurate application of billings and cash receipts
  • Collaborates with operations on best practices and cost saving initiatives
  • Responsible for all cash management & daily cash forecasting functions
  • Coordinates the annual audit/review, bank audits. Primary contact for external and internal auditors Requirements


Proven working experience as Accounting Manager



  • 8+ years of progressive accounting & financial management experience in a related field and/or public accounting environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA or CMA is a plus but not required
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience with creating and closing financial statements
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
  • Broad-based accounting operations experience in general and cost accounting, financial analysis, fixed asset accounting, receivables, payables, tax, audit, and legal compliance functions.
  • High level of financial acumen and business operations understanding required
  • Strategy and planning skills - demonstrated ability to proactively plan along with project management skills
  • Collaborative and analytical thinker with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage projects and deadlines
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis in Excel
  • Well-organized, entrepreneurial and able to prioritize among multiple projects with limited supervision
  • Demonstrable passion as a hands-on leader with integrity and a desire to work in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to adjust strategies and realign priorities in a continually changing environment
  • An effective communicator at all levels in the organization, with strong oral and written skills and a willingness to share information
