We are seeking a Budget & Planning Manager on a contract to hire basis for our non-profit client.This position will support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive budgeting strategies in alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with department heads to create accurate and realistic budgets, ensuring proper allocation of resources.
  • Monitor expenditures, analyze variances, and provide timely reports to management with recommendations for adjustments.
  • Conduct regular financial reviews to identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, track budget performance, and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and effective financial management.
  • Lead and mentor a team of budget analysts, providing guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, conveying complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Participate in strategic planning discussions to provide financial insights and contribute to decision-making processes.
  • Evaluate and implement Operating Cost/Indirect Allocations
  • Monitor and Support month end close process.
  • Supervise two full-time employees: a Senior Financial Analyst and a Senior Accountant for Systems and Process.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • Proven experience as a Budget Manager or similar role, with 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting methodologies, and financial analysis techniques.
  • Experience in the non-profit sector is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools including MIP Accounting Software, PowerBi; advanced Excel skills are a must.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
