Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Maintenance Planning Leader for Pulp & Paper Operations facility in Palatka, FL. This position will report to the mills' Maintenance and Reliability Leader and work with the business units to create and provide maintenance planning execution discipline. This position will supervise a team of Maintenance Planners to meet performance goals.

This position will also be responsible for providing support in the planning, coordination, and execution of maintenance outages/shutdowns for the facility. This position will work closely with various maintenance groups, operations teams, capital project engineers, and planning personnel to execute the short- and long-term needs of the mill.

Our Team

The Palatka mill and its products are a critical part of GP's Consumer Products portfolio, including high-profile Angel Soft, Quilted Northern, Brawny, and Sparkle brands. GP has invested heavily at Palatka in recent years to deliver competitive tissue and towel products including a new towel paper machine. The mill also features two Kraft paper machines and recent investments in a state-of-the-art Daily Operations Center (DOC) - a singular control hub for our asset monitoring. With more than 950 team members, the mill is highly strategic operation for GP and a foundational part of the local community and economy.

Located 45 minutes west of the beautiful beaches of St. Augustine, the mill is nestled in outskirts of the growing city of Palatka. Jacksonville, Daytona Beach and Gainesville are approximately one hour away, and Orlando is only two hours! In an area ideal for many different people, interests, and lifestyles, the Palatka mill is a rare find!

What You Will Do

* Lead and develop a team of Planners to meet or exceed performance goals, including commitment to safety and environmental excellence.
* Develop and maintain metrics to measure success in planning efficiency, accuracy, and workload/volume.
* Provide routine updates to the maintenance leadership team regarding AMWP planning process adherence.
* Assist equipment owners and maintenance supervisors in maintaining area work order backlogs.
* Develop and maintain planning standards for daily maintenance planning and machine/area outage planning that directly support the AMWP planning process.
* Assist the Outage Manager in planning and coordinating annual outage work.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

* Three (5) years of experience in a maintenance work process centered role in a large industrial setting.
* Two (2) years of experience as a direct supervisor.
* Experience with Microsoft Office programs Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.
* Demonstrated experience in SAP.

What Will Put You Ahead
* Ten (10) years of experience in a maintenance and/or reliability centered role
* Extensive knowledge of maintenance work processes in an industrial environment.
* Knowledge of procurement processes.
* Knowledge of inventory management processes.
* Experience planning and scheduling in SAP.
* Experience in pulp and paper manufacturing.
* Experience working in a diverse reliability-centered maintenance team.
