If you have a passion for hands-on work, problem solving and troubleshooting, and being part of a high growth company that strives for excellence and making a difference in people's lives, please apply below.The Accounting Manager is tasked with managing the accounting responsibilities within Probo Medical including general accounting ledger, payables, receivables, payroll, treasury management and financial reporting. The Accounting Manager will also be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial results in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. Leads and directs business unit accounting functions. Supervise AP, AR, Billing, Cash Application, Inventory, & Fixed Asset functions for business unit. Maintains the organization's overall accounting systems, procedures, and policies. Responsible for monthly, quarterly, & annual financial reports for business unit. Assists in variance analysis and reporting of financial information to Financial Controller. Responsible for overseeing and preparing month-end journal activities for business unit. Review all account reconciliations to ensure compliance, includes preparation of more technical account reconciliations. Ensure effective treasury management including cash flow analyses and cash forecasting, as well as disbursement authorizations. Lead & manage annual financial audit for business unit. Provide management with information vital to decision-making processes. Evaluate and maintain accounting and internal control systems. Hire, train and retain skilled accounting staff.Primary job responsibilities are those which an employee must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Requirements
Required Experience and Eduation:Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or BusinessMinimum of 5 years' related experience Experience coordinating audit activitiesKnowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition guidelinesProject management skillsAble to work in fast-paced, self-directed environmentAble to multi-task the activities with shifting prioritiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholdersKnowledge of ERP systems and relevant software applicationsPreferred Experience and Education: Two years of supervisory experience Master's Degree or CPA designationTRAVEL REQUIREMENTSLittle or no travel required (less than 10%)WORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
