Job Posting:

Kontoor Brands is currently seeking a Merchandising Associate for our Traditional Male Merchandising Team at our Greensboro, NC headquarters. This position reports to the Merchandising Manager and is an integral player on the Wrangler team. This role assists with the development and execution of all product strategies for the Wrangler Traditional bottoms category. This person will partner closely with a variety of individuals on the sales, design, finance, and product development teams to ensure product assortment in customers is successful.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the development and execution of the Wrangler product offering to meet or exceed corporate financial requirements.
  • Support GTM calendar at each milestone meeting in close partnership with PD, Design & Brand teams.
  • Partners with manager to develop a strong understanding of the consumer target's needs, leveraging insights gained to identify current and future growth opportunities.
  • Tracks volume projections, cost targets, and margin expectations.
  • Provides final assortment to Tech, PD, Operations, and sourcing teams along with updates after line cleaning.
  • Creates tools to communicate the styles and shares with brand marketing and design counterparts for photoshoot coordination and hindsight reviews.
  • Assists in tracking and recording of the costing process (target, brief, prototype, bulk samples).
  • Pro-active communication on assortment and product changes.
  • Aids in the development of key account communications required by sell-in process.
  • Assists in development of marketing on packaging, in-store POS, promotions, consumer marketing, and sales tools through development of marketing briefs necessary for efficient interface with brand marketing teams.
  • Ensure Operations & Sourcing Team is kept informed of all line decisions relevant to the product offer and work together on achieving financial and inventory objectives.
  • Support for sell in needs (Samples, Product launch materials).

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-4 years of professional experience in apparel.
  • 4-year degree in Business Management, Consumer Apparel/Retail Studies, or product/design/merchandising studies; or equivalent business experience.
  • Ability to collaborate with others and can navigate complex multi-functional operational and commercial issues and negotiate to successful resolution.
  • Self-starter with ability to prioritize, shows initiative and can work independently if needed.
  • Business acumen and has ability to problem solve and present solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to navigate data systems such as Microsoft Suite & SmartSheet.
