About the Opportunity:

Responsible for participating and supporting kaizen workshops to enable one-piece flowlines.

Location: Stuart Florida, onsite

Responsibilities:

Participate and support kaizen workshops.

  • Basic Blueprint reading and interpretation.
  • Basic design and fabrication skills.
  • Provide creative and innovative hands-on solutions.
  • Capable of working in a team environment.
  • Must utilize Kaizen tools to support manufacturing processes and flow lines.
  • Support manufacturing by providing swift hands-on solutions to make the process easier for operators.
  • The individual must be willing and capable of providing help with developing, modifying, and building machinery or devices that adheres to Pursuit's Universal No's, and ensuring operator and part safety.
  • Support and participate in various roles throughout the company as needed.
  • Travel to other Pursuit sites to participate, and or support kaizen workshops.
  • Support Tier 1 & 2 Process abnormalities when necessary
  • Cover for the Site Senior KPO technician

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be self-motivated with a sense of urgency and adaptability.
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Understanding of mechanical components and machine design.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and with others in a team environment.
  • Communication & problem-solving skills.
  • Minimum of High School or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College Degree, in business, manufacturing or relevant degree.
  • Kaizen knowledge & experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with requirements for aerospace component manufacturing that includes having knowledge of aerospace fabrications, machining, laser technology, welding, coatings, and heat treatment is also preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
  • Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
