- Parker Meggitt, a recent addition to Parker Hannifin, is a global leader in the Commercial and Military Aerospace markets, specializing in a wide range of products including fire and smoke detection systems, extinguishing systems, bleed air overheat detection systems, actuators, rudder pedal assemblies, pumps, fuel gauging systems, and high-temperature cables. Located in Simi Valley, CA, this site is within the Fire Safety & Power Systems Division (FSPSD) and is a key supplier in select energy markets, particularly in nuclear gas analyzers and nuclear containment vessel penetration cables. We work directly with some of the largest aerospace companies in the world, including Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, and Lockheed Martin, among others.
Job Designation: The Sales Manager 3 is responsible for leading strategic sales programs and marketing initiatives with existing and new accounts within the OEM channels. Accountable for meeting sales goals and ensuring profitable growth through planning and deployment within designated customers. Responsible for securing and maintaining distribution of products and maintaining effective agreements. Actively support the corporation's Win Strategy. Scope/ Supervision and Interaction: This role does not have direct reports - proactively works with all divisional management and related support departments to ensure on time customer service needs are met or exceeded. Represents company at trade shows and other professional activities. Reports to Regional Sales Manager or equivalent. Job Core Responsibilities
- Identify objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short and long-term sales and company growth.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships with OEM customers and may or may not have distributor accounts while meeting position objectives.
- Ensure Parker products are specified to maintain and increase revenue by prioritizing the opportunities on an account-by-account basis to obtain optimum sales and margin results.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of site products, applications, features, advantages and benefits.
- Keep up with internal and external training and development.
- Obtain specifications and approvals at customers to develop increased sales opportunities and margins.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and their activity in the marketplace and provide reports, on a regular basis.
- Keep management aware of changes which would affect the distribution/sale of Parker products.
- Participate in the development and implementation of appropriate response strategies.
- Assist the site in planning strategy for all site products and strategic customers.
- Provide significant sales expertise to lead sales programs and marketing initiatives.
- Ensure profitable growth in sales revenues through planning and deployment.
- Forecast annual, quarterly and monthly revenue and develop plans to ensure revenue growth for all products.

Job Specifications
- Education: Required | Must have: Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Aerospace & Defense or adjacent industry
- Ability to think strategically and translate strategy into execution
- Thorough understanding and expertise in sales management
- Proven consultative selling skills to develop attractive value propositions
- Strong leadership and effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to solve problems and analyze possible solutions using technical experience and best judgment
- Business case modeling; understanding of financial models
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, salesforce and database management tools
- Must be able to travel as required
- Must have proven track record of performing or exceeding performance levels

- Pay Range: $117,554 - Mid: 161,667 - $190,349
- Participation in Annual Incentive Program.
