Summary:

The Labor Scheduling and Training Supervisor will report directly to the Operations Planning, Labor Scheduling and Training Sr Mgr. The LS & T Supervisor will lead and be responsible for the hourly labor scheduling and training team supporting the Reese Campus.

The nonunion, fast paced, complex Reese Manufacturing Campus operates on a 24/7 basis with seven Peanut Butter finishing lines, three Kit Kat brand lines, paste processing, wafer baking and peanut roasting and butter processing. The facility has a 700 plus hourly and temporary workforce.

The Supervisor role will include direction setting, resource coordination, communication and guidance for hourly labor management and scheduling and creating and updating training and operating process guides. Complying and enforcing regulatory requirements, company and plant policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:



  • Lead and manage labor scheduling and training coordinator team.
  • Oversee daily and weekly overtime process.
  • Review finishing and processing department's staffing requirements are within budgetary guideline.
  • Manage short- and long-term labor projections based upon shift levels and product mix to ensure staffing is in place to support the weekly production schedule.
  • Manage and monitor plant training protocols and qualifications are being followed and within budget.
  • Oversee the creation, maintenance and review of the Reese Campus' Process Operating Guides (POG)
  • Manage and support Labor Scheduling and Training Lead duties.

  • Ability to react quickly to manufacturing changes
  • Ability to understand, interpret and enforce hourly team member policies
  • Ability to communicate effectively to hourly and salary team members.



Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities required to be successful in the role:



  • Experience with labor scheduling protocols
  • Reese Campus labor scheduling and work rules
  • SAP and MS Office, required.
  • Teamwork, accountable and integrity behaviors required to be able to work in a fast paced, changing manufacturing environment providing customer service to hourly and salary team members.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple activities and manage a volatile and changing work environment.



Preferred Education and Experience Requirements:



  • High school education or GED
  • BS in Business Management is preferred or equivalent experience
  • Supervisor experience for a minimum of 2 years
  • Manufacturing experience for a minimum of 5 years
