About the Opportunity

This role will be responsible for member and security services requests and solutions that are processed through WeWork's Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), which will provide the highest level of customer service for WeWork's over 600,000 members, 5,000 employees in 37 countries, and over 27 languages.

The GSOC will be responsible for overseeing WeWork employees and communities, monitoring events that have the potential to compromise the security of WeWork's Executives, Employees, Members, Visitors, and assets.

The GSOC Lead will focus on technical and tactical level execution of the GSOC operations.

Core Duties:

  • Team lead overseeing daily tactical operations, operational goal development as part of the daily team supervision, and serving as a point of escalation for the GSOC operations team.

  • Manage all tier two service requests for repairs, maintenance, and additional security systems across the Wework system.

  • Serve as the team subject matter expert specific to security and emergency management issues, triaging issues per policy and escalating to the appropriate stakeholders.

  • Conduct in-depth intelligence review, investigative and summary assessments.

  • Monitor threat management systems including open source intelligence feeds, CCTV/Access Control Systems and human intelligence sources to serve as an overwatch platform for all Wework assets.

  • Manage, as needed, changes in access for new employees, cleaners, and contractors.

  • Manage all member and employee service calls and service requests that are processed through the GSOC.

  • Directly assist members, employees, contractors, and visitors by answering telephone calls, verifying information and assisting with security, member and locations issues with a clear focus on customer service as needed

  • Serve as lead trainer/mentor for both new GSOC staff and tenured staff through both onboard training coordination and continuing department level training to strengthen team capabilities and broaden skillsets.

  • Identify the nature of security events and apply corresponding standard operating procedures or incident action plans.

  • Coordinate with members of the Global Security & Resilience team and other internal or external stakeholders as directed by procedures, or as needed.

  • Maintain rigorous standards for documentation and data management as it applies to calls, events, or incidents.

About You

We'd love to hear from you if you meet the qualifications below:

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.

  • Knowledge of general Emergency Management principles, escalation protocols and crisis management.

  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal. Ability to distill and disseminate critical information. Foreign language skills a plus.

  • Be willing to work shift work in support of a 24/7 operation.

  • Experience with physical security systems (CCTV, Access Control)

  • Understanding of basic networking concepts (IP addresses, MAC addresses)

  • Experience operating in enterprise systems with global reach

  • Experience with service management software

  • Experience with Google apps and programs

  • Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail

  • Be able to multitask across multiple platforms, departments, time zones, and countries.

  • Be able to liaise with external safety and security organizations in a professional manner
