We are hiring for a Desktop Support Technician is Columbus, OH. The role involves providing comprehensive workstation support, both hands-on and remotely, while collaborating with other Support Center analysts and Senior Technicians. Responsibilities include resolving escalated calls, managing hardware and software deployments, and maintaining print server queues. The position also requires on-call support and participation in Support Center planning functions. *Responsibilities:* * Collaborate with Support Center analysts and Senior Technicians to understand workstation support needs. * Resolve escalated calls in the Call Tracking system and take primary responsibility for client workstation support. * Provide hands-on and remote workstation support services. * Offer expertise on support services when requested by peers and clients. * Create software images as needed. * Lead or participate in hardware and software deployments. * Handle hardware and software procurement and disposal. * Manage print server queues and network printers. * Ensure completion of tasks and maintain proper communication with clients for all work in progress. * Operate support outposts in client areas. * Balance client demand for services with available resources. * Participate in Support Center planning functions. * Record all support activities for accurate measurement of support business. *Competencies:* * Enjoy solving a wide variety of problems continuously. * Experience with technology in a business environment, including Help Desk Support, data communications/networks, and application environments (mainframe, workgroup, and desktop). * Proficient in customer service functions such as workstation support. * Exceptional organizational skills. * Ability to determine the criticality of incoming requests. * Fundamental understanding of word processing, spreadsheet, and terminal emulation products for proper problem diagnosis. * Ability to translate technical terms into non-technical language. * Understanding of computer terms and acronyms. * Ability to learn new processes and procedures. *Skills:* * Windows 10 and 11 * Office 365 * Troubleshooting * Support * ServiceNow *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
