We are looking for a Sr. UX Writer to work on Onboarding and Discovery Experiences as well as other exciting projects. The Onboarding and Discovery SR UX Writer will support the Customer Journeys team by guiding new customers through the story of the new version supporting them through setup and suggestions across multiple product surfaces. We are looking for an experienced and creative SR UX Writer who can balance clarity with personality and has experience in documenting best practices to help support scaling execution. We'll need help with cohesion, consistency, and raising the bar on content as well as new ideas for innovating in Discovery. *A day in the life* Each day, you will connect and collaborate with designers and researchers across the team. You'll work directly with product managers to understand requirements, and develop design concepts that will be reviewed with leadership. You'll also work with software teams to deliver detailed visual and interaction specifications. Because we see time as a scarce resource that must be respected, we'll help you defend your work/life balance and will actively support your professional growth. *Key job responsibilities* * Create world-class, user-centered experiences through consideration of customer research, business requirements, technical considerations, and usability study findings, These experiences will bridge voice, multimodal, web, and mobile applications. * Collaborate directly with UX and Conversation Designers and the Research team to ensure a consistent and delightful experience across all customer touch points * Partner with the Product Management team to translate business requirements into use cases and high-level customer experience requirements * Collaborate directly with Software Engineers to bring the resulting designs and vision to market * Develop conceptual frameworks, best practices, and specifications * Present writing work to the design team, product team, and leadership for review and feedback *Basic qualifications* * 8+ years of experience as a UX writer, copywriter, or similar role * Experience working on copy for software development * Have an available online portfolio or examples * Bachelor's degree in Design or equivalent design-related field, or commensurate industry experience *Additional Skills & Qualifications* Preferred qualifications * Ability to take complex concepts and quickly turn around samples reflecting a range of options * Able to adapt writing to voice and tone requirements * Ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and multi-task in an agile environment * Ability to communicate, present, and gracefully defend your team's decisions * Experience with multiple platforms and form factors, including phone, tablet, multi-modal, and wearables * Experience building voice-based products and services *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
