Purpose of the position: Northfield Public Library invites exploration, empowers people, and engages community by providing free and open access to information, resources, spaces, learning opportunities, and helpful staff. Interns will gain valuable experience and an understanding of the operations, services, organization, staffing, and resources of a public library with additional opportunity to learn about the workings of an academic library at the Gould Library at Carleton College. Interns will provide support to the library's Adult and Youth Services teams as needed working on projects such as children's programs, collection management, communications, and marketing, teen programming, and outreach.

Qualifications Required: Student at Northfield Community College Collaborative or NHS TORCH participant. Recent NHS graduates who participated in TORCH and are currently enrolled in college are also eligible. Ages 16 and up may apply.
