What's the Opportunity?
Anchor QEA is seeking a senior-level, entrepreneurially minded engineer to help expand the presence of our Environmental Restoration Practice and better capture growing opportunities throughout the mid-Atlantic and Gulf Coast regions. We are particularly interested in an individual who has experience in identifying, planning, designing and implementing environmental restoration and mitigation projects and programs. The successful candidate will support our team of scientists, engineers, biologists, and planners in the growth of Anchor QEA and will help to build, oversee, and mentor project teams in North Carolina. They will be responsible for developing new clients, winning and executing work, and growing our experience with federal, state, and local clients. Responsibilities:
The successful applicant has previous experience in supporting a growing environmental restoration practice, including services related to habitat restoration, dam removal, mitigation, and nature-based solutions in riverine, stream, and coastal environments. They should have a demonstrated track record of collaborating with others and using their own creativity, experience, insight and entrepreneurial spirit to create innovative solutions for clients. Core responsibilities include project execution (80%) and business development (30%):

Project Execution
* Leading comprehensive scope development, fee negotiations, project schedule and deliverable milestones development, technical and financial project management activities, client and stakeholder coordination, project implementation, and subcontractor administration
* Planning, performing, and managing technical analyses for environmental restoration projects and programs
* Leading design plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates
* Providing mentorship, technical oversight and quality reviews on project deliverables
* Providing active mentorship and oversight of junior and mid-level staff

Business Development (with the support of a focused team for opportunity identification and submittal development)
* Working directly with federal, state, local agencies; non-governmental organizations (NGOs); and other organizations to identify, plan, and execute environmental restoration projects that restore natural systems and habitat.
* Positioning for and winning multi-disciplinary projects and/or programs with a focus on sustainable habitat and ecological restoration solutions and climate resilience, either as part of a larger team or as the prime contractor
* Knowledge of existing and potential clients in the region, and ability to leverage existing relationships
* Developing new clients, identify project opportunities, lead proposal efforts, and capture new work
* Identifying strategic teaming partners and actively building relationships, helping to identify and support staff resource and hiring needs

What Are We Looking For?
Ideal candidates will have the following:
* Environmental restoration design experience including river and stream restoration, dam removal, mitigation and nature-based solutions
* Proven ability to generate new business over their career (with the support of a focused team for opportunity identification and submittal development)
* Strong leadership skills
* Bachelor's or Master's Degree (preferred) environmental engineering or related field
* 10+ years of relevant experience in environmental restoration planning, design, and project management
* Proven experience in building partnerships with federal, state, and local clients along with NGOs
* Self-motivation, drive, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to maximize successful project outcomes

Salary and Other Compensation:
* Annual Bonus
* Other potential bonus types: Billable Time Bonus, Spot Bonus, Milestone Anniversary Bonus, Receiving Professional License/Certification Bonus, Peer-reviewed Publication Bonus, Employee Referral Bonus.

Base Level Benefits for Regular Full-Time Positions:
