The Lubrication Management division
of SKF consists of a global team that develops and manufactures lubrication solutions and tools & equipment for use in industrial applications and automotive shops.
Job Summary:
The Export Logistics Coordinator provides support for outbound export shipments by preparing export documentation and pre-alerts. They will work closely with customer service, warehouse, distributors, and freight forwarders/transport carriers to ensure packages are shipped on time and with the correct paperwork.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work in JD Edwards to properly process export orders after completion in the warehouse
- Create export documentation within the Global Wizard software
- Send export pre-alert emails with tracking and export documentation to customers for export shipments
- Communicate with customer service daily about shipment information, any special shipment requests, and JD Edward updates needed for proper document processing
- Work with the warehouse to ensure packages are shipped in a timely manner after completion with proper documentation
- Utilize the warehouse system to monitor open export orders, acquire proper information for export documentation and to ensure timely shipping
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and transport carriers as needed for export shipments
- File export documentation and maintain organized files
- Work with Outbound Logistics Supervisor and DC support staff to enhance export documentation processes for better efficiencies
- Track export shipments for customer service
- Manage communications and coordinate with truck drivers at the Driver's Check-in Window
- Manage and file bills of landing for outgoing shipments
Job Requirements:
- Must be able to walk in a warehouse environment for extended periods safely
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Detail oriented; high degree of accuracy
- Knowledge of world geography
- 2nd language skills a plus
- Manage workflow using good judgment to prioritize urgent requirements
Job Education, Experience and Qualifications:
- Associates degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- 2-3 years export documentation experience preferred
- JD Edwards experience preferred
- Exacta experience preferred
- Global Wizard software experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
