Description
Position Summary: Assist with the daily workflow and provide leadership and training to staff in the proper techniques of job duties. Paint furniture pieces efficiently and in compliance with Mackenzie- Childs' high-quality specifications and standards. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned) 60% Paint furniture pieces following the instructional/samples provided by design in compliance with the Company's high-quality specifications and standards. 15% Plan, schedule and assign work, instruct and train on proper work methods and quality standards, inspect work and correct any deficiencies. 10% Act as liaison with Quality Control, Design and Warehouse staff in regard to quality issues, design prototypes, instructional issues and incoming raw materials. 10% Resolve quality control issues on incoming and outgoing product and follow up with needed repairs. 5% Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position assists with recruiting, interviewing and hiring; planning, scheduling and assigning work; instructing and training on proper work methods and reviewing and approving work. Qualifications
Education and Experience: * High school diploma or GED Special Requirements: Location: Aurora, NY Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Basic computer skills to send/receive email and perform basic word processing and/or data entry. * Ability to use hand tools applicable to trade. * Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures. * Attention to detail. Equipment Used: Computer, printer, photocopier Safety Equipment: Respirator and mask Physical and Mental Requirements: * Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, push, pull, lift, crouch, kneel, bend, use fingers to grasp, handle, feel, and perform repetitive motions of hands or wrists. * Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly to move objects. * High mental and visual attention required for planning difficult work methods and sequences to obtain size, shape, or physical qualities of product. Environmental Conditions: The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions including fumes, odors, mists, or poor ventilation. |
