*Job Title: Patient Care Coordinator* Job Description We are looking for a dedicated Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring smooth operations at the front desk, handling inbound calls, greeting guests, and setting patients up in their rooms. The hours for this position are from 8:30am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, with a 4:30pm close on Fridays. There will be very limited overtime and no weekend work.
Responsibilities * Sit at the front desk and take inbound calls. * Greet guests and set patients up in their rooms. * Answer calls from primarily elderly individuals with patience and sympathy. * Assist walk-ins and maintain open communication with patients, referral sources, and corporate and branch offices. * Verify call transfers based on patient locations. * Promptly and courteously schedule and register patients, ensuring accurate and complete patient documentation. * Verify insurance information and maintain familiarity with various insurances and their portals. * Process orders in the system and maintain current status on orders to be processed, with outbound calls to customers. Essential Skills * Good job tenure. * Some healthcare administrative experience or insurance verification experience. * Customer service experience in a fast-paced environment. * Excellent attitude towards customers, ensuring they feel taken care of. * Ability to handle high volume customer interactions and associated stress levels. * Ability to diffuse tough situations. * Attention to detail and organizational skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Call center experience. * Medical experience. * Insurance experience. * Billing experience. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
