We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Pricing Analyst with a strong background in business development to join our dynamic team at Zones. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, developing, and implementing competitive pricing strategies for our suite of IT services while working closely with sales, finance, and senior leadership teams to drive business growth. Your expertise will play a crucial role in optimizing profitability and positioning our company as a leader in the IT solutions market.
What you'll do as the Senior Pricing Analyst:
Deal Structuring and Pricing:
  • Creating pricing models for complex deals, considering value-based pricing and other factors to maximize profit potential.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of pricing strategies for a diverse range of IT solutions and services.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and client needs to set optimal pricing strategies for both new business and renewals.
  • Develop pricing models that support business growth, profitability, and competitiveness.
Business Development Support:
  • Collaborate closely with the sales and business development teams to provide pricing insights and strategies during customer negotiations and bids.
  • Partner with senior leadership to identify new business opportunities and pricing tactics that maximize revenue
  • Assist in the development of proposals, including cost structures, margin targets, and pricing optimization.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
  • Utilize data analytics to monitor and assess pricing performance, including revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Generate reports and dashboards for senior leadership to track pricing strategy success and identify areas for adjustment.
  • Provide regular insights and recommendations based on data trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with finance teams to ensure pricing strategies align with financial objectives and budgets.
  • Collaborate with legal and contract teams to ensure compliance with pricing terms in agreements and contracts.
  • Partner with product management and marketing teams to align pricing with service offerings and value propositions.
Market and Competitive Intelligence:
  • Stay updated on market dynamics, pricing trends, and emerging technologies in the IT industry.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking to ensure the company's pricing is competitive and aligned with industry standards.
  • Proactively identify pricing risks and opportunities based on market changes and emerging trends.
Training & Mentorship:
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior pricing analysts or teams, ensuring alignment with best practices and business objectives.
What you will bring to the team:
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in pricing analysis, FP&A, or a similar role, preferably in an IT solutions or technology-focused environment.
  • Strong capabilities with Excel and ability to use complex formulas and large data sets, VBA knowledge would be considered an asset
  • Proven experience in pricing strategy development and business development processes, particularly in a B2B environment.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to develop pricing models, forecasts, and financial analyses.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making and competitive intelligence.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, marketing, and legal departments.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present complex pricing strategies to senior leadership and clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with IT services pricing (consulting, integration, cloud services, etc.) and knowledge of various pricing models (fixed-price, time and materials, subscription, etc.).
  • Expertise in pricing software or analytics tools such as Excel, SQL, or specialized pricing platforms.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
Qualified candidates can expect a salary range of $100,000 - $125,000.
Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Washington area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
