Are you ready to make your mark? If you're a Sr Government Subcontract Specialist, we have an exciting opportunity for you. The Senior Government Subcontract Specialist will support the Global Supply Chain Subcontract Management (SCM) Team, Category Management and PLC teams, as needed, with various subcontracting activities. The Government Subcontract Specialist will be the primary interface for Subcontract Management, Category Management and PLC teams with Contracts Compliance for all Government Contracting activities.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Acts as the primary interface for Subcontract Management, Category Management and PLC teams, as needed, with Contracts Compliance for all Government Contracting activities.
  • Develops and initiates solicitation packages (RFPs), review supplier proposals and create proposal analysis files for review and evaluation by SCMs.
  • Creates subcontract file package structure and assists Subcontract Managers with preparation of appropriate documentation based on dollar thresholds, contract type, etc., to ensure compliance with requirements, as established by Contracts Compliance.
  • Develops and delivers training on subcontract file package requirements and stands as technical expert for Government Subcontracting standard work.
  • Mentors and assists members of the Subcontract Administration team with questions on Government subcontracting standard work processes.
  • Leads Review of subcontracts to ensure compliance prior to obtaining Contracts Compliance approval.
  • Provides daily feedback to Subcontract Managers on strategies for execution (process) to meet compliance requirements.
  • Assists Program Manager for Government Contracting, Global Supply Chain, with development and implementation of supply chain processes and tools to ensure compliance with requirements as determined by Contracts Compliance (via Policy and regulatory guidance).
  • Creates and delivers process execution training for GSC and PLC teams on an as needed basis, to ensure compliance with requirements as developed and communicated by Contracts Compliance.
  • Establishes and maintains meaningful metrics on supplier solicitation response rate, timeliness of award activity, etc., as determined by leadership.
  • Reviews metrics and provides continuous improvement opportunity suggestions to GSC leadership.
  • Leads meetings with Subcontract Managers and Technical specialists to provide advice in resolving procurement problems associated with specific projects / programs efforts.
  • Assists Subcontract Managers with subcontract closeout activities to ensure timely action for completed / expired subcontracts.
  • Initiates and tracks all requests for quotes (RFQ's) for purchased materials required for projects. Ensures RFQ's are in alignment to DTC volume requirements as well as prototype needs. Actively manages gaps to Sourcing Strategy and project milestones.
  • Enters subcontract data into ERP system (SAP and/or WISE).

What We Are Looking For

  • US - Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in a related field required
  • 5+ years hands-on experience in supply chain manufacturing supporting the DOD or other Government agency required
