Fall 2025 Engineering Co-Op (Power and Actuation Systems)
Location: Onsite - Parsippany, NJ

Duration: Full-time, Fall Semester (Starting August 2025)

Our Fall 2025 Engineering Co-Op program offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside industry experts, gain real-world skills, and contribute to innovative projects in Power and Actuation Systems Business Unit at Marotta Controls.
Fall 2025 Co-Ops opportunities are available in our Mechanical and Electrical Design Team. Accepting applications until March 28, 2025.

What You'll Do:


  • Assist in designing and analyzing aerospace & Defense control components.
  • Support the creation of assembly procedures, test reports, and technical documents.
  • Research suppliers and special process vendors.
  • Help design and validate fixtures for assembly and test operations.
  • Conduct tolerance stack-ups, feasibility studies, and compliance reviews for engineering drawings.
  • Participate in design reviews and present findings.
  • Perform basic engineering calculations (trigonometry, geometry, etc.) as needed.
  • Work onsite and full-time throughout the Fall 2025 semester.


What We're Looking For:


  • Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in aerospace design.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Pro-E preferred).
  • Excellent academic performance, particularly in core engineering courses.
  • High attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (due to security clearance requirements).
  • Must be enrolled in a bachelor's or graduate degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering (or equivalent field).


Work Environment:


  • Hybrid work setting between a professional office and a manufacturing/machine shop environment.
  • Use of standard office equipment (computers, phones, printers, etc.) and protective gear as required.


Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to see, talk, and hear while performing job duties.
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for handling equipment.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move around the facility as needed.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 20 lbs occasionally.

These positions will be located at either our Parsippany, NJ office locations.
