The Dental Provider Network Contractor/Network Recruiter develops the provider network (dentists, ancillary groups & facilities, etc.) yielding a geographically competitive, broad access, stable network that achieves objectives for unit cost performance and trend management and produces an affordable and predictable product for customers and business partners. Network Contractors evaluate and negotiate contracts in compliance with company contract templates, reimbursement structure standards, and other key process controls. Responsibilities also include establishing and maintaining solid business relationships with dentists, ancillary groups & facilities, providers, and ensuring the network composition includes an appropriate distribution of provider specialties.

This is a field based position based in Atlanta, GA.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for identifying, recruiting, negotiating, and contracting a dental provider network in a geographic area within established guidelines to meet network needs
  • Primary recruitment responsibilities will be to continue to build our existing EPO, PPO and Discount networks in Georgia. Secondary recruitment responsibilities may include Medicare Advantage, and Medicaid products in select markets.
  • Ensures provider database and documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted promptly
  • Prioritize and organize own work to meet deadlines
  • Provide explanations and information to others on topics within area of expertise

Required Qualifications:



  • 2+ years of experience in the field or in a related area or sales/medical or dental office experience
  • Proven exceptional sales presentation skills in a high-pressure environment
  • Demonstrated intermediate proficiency using MS Excel
  • Ability to travel (up to 25% of time)


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Dental Treatment Plan Coordinator/Dental Office Manager experience administering multiple plan types
  • Proven dental industry knowledge
  • Demonstrated knowledge of DHMO, Direct Compensation, PPO, and Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement methodologies
  • Salesforce experience



The salary range for this role is $59,500 to $116,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
