UVA Print is seeking a detail-oriented Print Mailing Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing and processing presorted mail in compliance with USPS regulations. The specialist will operate and maintain mailing equipment, manage client data using postal software, and ensure the seamless integration of variable data into mail pieces using Adobe and Fusion Pro. The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses strong technical skills, and has a commitment to accuracy and quality. Responsibilities Set-Up and Preparation * Review job tickets and verify instructions before job setup. * Ensure all necessary materials are available. * Process data using postal software to generate USPS-compliant paperwork. Operation and Monitoring * Operate mailing equipment, ensuring jobs are produced according to specifications. * Conduct quality checks during production runs to maintain accuracy and consistency. * Record production time, counts, and material usage. * Deliver mail to the post office. Maintenance and Troubleshooting * Perform and document routine maintenance on mailing equipment. * Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues. * Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Additional Responsibilities * Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow. * Manage mail supply inventory, placing orders as needed while adhering to departmental and University policies. * Organize and track inventory, ensuring accurate records for reporting and usage. * Serve as a backup for Bindery duties as needed. * Participate in cross-training and assist with special projects as assigned. Minimum Requirements * High school diploma or equivalent. * At least one year of experience in printing operations and processes. * Valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications * Minimum of two years of experience in a print mailing environment. Knowledge, skills and abilities: Technical Knowledge & Expertise * Experience operating mailing equipment, including tabbers, stampers, inserters, inkjet printers, and sealers. * Working knowledge of USPS postal regulations for presorted mail. * Proficiency in using Accuzip or equivalent postal software. * Experience with Adobe and Fusion Pro for variable data integration. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Operation, monitoring, and maintenance of bindery/mailing equipment involve repetitive loading, and unloading materials of various weights from various heights. This position Is located In Charlottesville, VA. Anticipated Hiring Range: $18.00 - $24.00 hourly, commensurate with education and experience. This is a non-exempt level, benefited position.
