Schedule Details:This .5 FTE position commits to 20 hours per week on a day/PM rotation. Pharmacists work primarily first shift with some second shift requirements. Start times can be as early as 0630 and end times as late as 2330. Shifts are typically eight hours and our team staffs every third weekend. Pharmacists staff both central and decentral. This position is located at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital and may be staffed at Waukesha Memorial Hospital as well. A majority of training will take place at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. Pharmacists at times may be required to enter ante/buffer rooms and hood spaces, and as a requirement from regulatory bodies, must be jewelry and makeup free. What You Will Do:
Our inpatient pharmacists work closely with providers, nurses, and other healthcare staff to promote safe, evidenced-based, and cost effective medication therapy for our patients. Decentral pharmacists within our system are heavily involved with patient care from admission through discharge with medication reconciliation, pharmacist driven protocols, daily patient profile reviews and other provided services. Our team rotates between decentral and central shifts. In central pharmacy, we rely on our pharmacists to delegate tasks to our technicians, ensure accuracy of compounded medications, maintain safe medication practices and provide medication support to the system.
