Job Overview
Chugach is looking for a highly qualified, experienced, and self-motivated individual to perform the duties of a Security Training and Outreach Specialist. The Security Training and Outreach Specialist position is required to have skills and knowledge to conduct security related trainings in personnel recovery and prevention training, active combat environment training, safety awareness, active shooter, and partner liaison trainings, as well as develop new security related initiatives for USAID staff and implementing partners. Work Model: Hybrid
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Plans and implements security training for USAID staff and implementing partners at USAID facilities both domestically and overseas at USAID Missions, U.S. Embassies and U.S. Consulates.
- Determines and recommends Mission Senior Officials with information on Partner Liaison Security Office (PLSO) opportunities, and training for Implementing Partners.
- Develops USAID Office of Security (SEC) outreach materials for Agency personnel regarding security.
- Liaises with Diplomatic Security and other security stakeholders at USAID.
- Effectively communicates with Senior Leadership, Interagency counterparts, and frontline staff regarding security-related issues of concern and forward-thinking security initiatives.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
- United States Citizen.
- Eight (8) years of experience, education, and/or training in international security.
- Travel to USAID Missions.
- Top Secret Clearance.
- Strong customer service.
- Quick Learner with multitasking.
- Excellent verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively plan, prioritize and accomplish physical security-related.
- Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of applications, internet, email, and database.
- Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment background check and pre-hire drug screen.
