Technical Coach

Through the supervision of the Work Analysis Manager, and coordination with the Production Manager, the Technical Coach will develop, revise, implement, and provide coaching and hands on training of technicians. Manages and maintains records of technical development for production line employees.

~75% of time spent on hands-on activities related to training i.e., on the aircrafts supporting production

~25% spent on administrative activities

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Convert the Technical Standards into hands-on training to AWPC and contract personnel to include hands-on equipment training and certification
  • Develops, revises, implements, and provides instruction of training, tests, and training aides based on employee training needs
  • Provides training related corrective actions during QA and FAA audits
  • Ensure the accuracy and monthly revisions of the employee training records for AWPC
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education

  • HS diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience performing hands on helicopter production or
  • maintenance, with at least 1 year as an instructor in a professional environment. AWPC product experience may be substituted for the instructor experience.

  • Professional public communications skills, attitude, and appearance
  • Technical writer, professional writing proficiency, with a creative ability
  • Highly organized, proactive, detailed oriented. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, specifically PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to work with external authorities in a constructive manner such as the FAA
  • Comprehensive understanding of mechanical systems and/or Electro/avionics systems
  • Sound knowledge of the standard Quality Practices & Procedures and Aviation
  • Quality Standards in a Part 21 environment

Licensure/Certification

  • FAA A&P Certificate preferred

Other

  • Minimal travel may be required.
