PURPOSE OF THE ROLE The Senior I&E Field Engineer provides technical expertise and engineering resources to support construction projects from inception to completion. This role ensures that designs are accurately interpreted, site conditions are evaluated and accommodated, and final construction meets all design specifications. As a recognized technical specialist, the Senior I&E Field Engineer plays a key role in bridging engineering principles with practical field implementation, supporting Worley's mission of delivering sustainable change. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on instrumentation and electrical (I&E) engineering aspects during construction phases.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure construction activities align with design intent and project specifications.
- Interpret engineering designs and make necessary field adjustments based on site conditions while ensuring compliance with industry standards and Worley's sustainability goals.
- Oversee construction supervision, ensuring that all I&E systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to identify and address potential technical challenges, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Provide consultation to engineering and construction management teams, offering solutions to complex field engineering challenges.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Develop and maintain strong communication channels with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Ensure project documentation, including technical reports and compliance records, is maintained and updated as per regulatory and corporate standards.
- Lead or participate in project meetings to provide technical insights and facilitate collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLSET
- University degree in a related engineering field, or equivalent trade qualification with additional relevant training and experience.
- Extensive experience in field engineering, particularly in instrumentation and electrical systems within the energy, chemicals, or resources sectors.
- Strong decision-making capabilities, able to make independent recommendations for both large-scale and smaller independent projects, considering financial, environmental, and organizational impacts.
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards, construction methodologies, and best practices related to I&E engineering.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to assign work, provide technical guidance, and mentor project teams.
- Proficient in using industry-specific systems, processes, and tools, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize their use.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of preparing and delivering technical proposals, presentations, and reports.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex engineering challenges in a practical and efficient manner.
