Job Description:

Scope:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to ensure the quality and compliance of materials and components provided by our suppliers. This role will be responsible for auditing supplier facilities, managing supplier corrective actions, and collaborating with internal teams to drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supplier quality management, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of aerospace industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company, industry, and regulatory standards (AS9100, ISO 9001, etc.).
  • Investigate and resolve supplier quality issues, including managing non-conformances and implementing corrective and preventive actions (SCARs).
  • Work with suppliers to develop quality improvement plans and ensure adherence to company specifications and requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze supplier performance metrics, including defect rates, delivery times, and corrective action effectiveness.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and drive corrective actions using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone Diagrams.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, procurement, and production, to ensure quality and supply chain efficiency.
  • Assist in supplier qualification and approval processes for new and existing suppliers.
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting of supplier quality issues and compliance efforts.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and standards to ensure continuous compliance and improvement.
  • Analyze process data with various statistical tools (SPC).
  • Maintain, organize and coordinate calibration of all devices.
  • Maintain internal documentation storage focusing on revision control.
  • Support customer source inspection of parts.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or a related role (preferably in aerospace or PCB manufacturing).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of aerospace quality standards (AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP, etc.).
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and supplier audit processes.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and inspection techniques.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis (RCA) and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective supplier collaboration.
  • Willingness to travel to supplier facilities as needed.

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
