Job Purpose

The Strategy Analyst will be responsible for proactively assisting in the development of corporate, sourcing, and operation strategies that are aligned with business and program needs and then driving execution of those strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Analysis & Planning:



  • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research and analysis, including competitive landscape analysis, market sizing, segmentation, and trend identification.
  • Strategic Planning & Development: Assist in the development and execution of strategic plans, including product roadmaps, and business development initiatives.
  • Industry Trend Analysis: Evaluate industry trends, technologies, and regulations across power generation and additive manufacturing


Supply Chain Strategy:



  • Strategic Sourcing: Conduct supplier analysis, identify and evaluate potential suppliers, develop and implement sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships.
  • Capacity Planning: Assess supplier capacity and identify potential bottlenecks in the supply chain.
  • Supply Chain Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks within the supply chain, such as disruptions, price fluctuations, and quality issues.
  • Make-or-Buy Decisions: Conduct cost-benefit analyses to determine the most efficient and cost-effective sourcing options (e.g., in-house production vs. outsourcing).
  • Vertical Integration Analysis: Evaluate the potential benefits and drawbacks of vertical integration strategies within the supply chain.


Operational Analysis & Business Model Development:



  • Facility Expansion Analysis: Conduct feasibility studies for potential facility expansions, including location analysis, capacity planning, and cost-benefit assessments.
  • Operational Efficiency Analysis: Analyze and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs throughout the value chain.

Qualifications include:



  • Education and Experience

    • A Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or engineering required.
    • MBA from a top-tier business school and/or advanced technical degree preferred.
    • 1-2 years of consulting experience with one of the leading management consulting firms (Bain, BCG, McKinsey, etc.) or comparable strategy consulting firm / function OR
    • 3+ years of business experience in strategy consulting, related business analysis, functional line experience within strategy, marketing, finance, operations, or sales analytics with a history of demonstrated business success.
    • Experience in automotive, manufacturing, or energy is highly preferred


  • Skills and Abilities

    • Highly analytical, motivated, and decisive thought leader with the ability to independently generate strategic insights
    • Strategic mindset with an ability to think broadly, frame key questions, develop analytical frameworks and then create a workplan to deliver an answer and clearly synthesize the results.
    • Outstanding project management skills, with ability to scope projects, and deliver results against set expectations, timelines, and budgets, etc.
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills to drive alignment and coordination in high complexity environment


  • Other duties as assigned may be assigned as required for this role.



Role Classification and Working Conditions

This is a salaried, exempt-level position. This position typically works in an office environment; and given the nature of our business is also exposed to operations/warehouses/production environments.

  • Ability to travel, as needed, by plane, automobile, etc.
