OVERVIEW:
An international food manufacturer in
Humble, TX, is seeking an food industry experirnced
Sanitation Supervisor to ensure that all facilities, production lines, machinery, and common areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety. This role is crucial in maintaining compliance with sanitation procedures, chemical handling protocols, and waste management policies across multiple departments. This role requires strong leadership to guide and monitor team performance, conduct inspections, and work closely with Quality Control and Maintenance teams to uphold operational excellence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT ARE LIMITED TO:
Issue Resolution: Promptly address and resolve any sanitation-related concerns to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all employees strictly follow sanitation procedures, policies, and company regulations.
Sanitation Scheduling: Develop, manage, and ensure compliance with the master sanitation schedule.
Task Assignment: Delegate and monitor sanitation tasks to ensure department and company needs are met efficiently.
Quality Control & Testing: Conduct ATP and allergen testing to verify sanitation effectiveness.
Chemical Handling & Safety: Oversee the proper use, storage, dilution, and handling of cleaning chemicals.
Documentation & Reporting: Ensure sanitation forms are completed accurately and on time by all employees.
Audit : Lead both internal and external audits to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Facility Inspections: Conduct frequent inspections of production lines, machinery, and all facility areas to identify and implement improvements.
Team Leadership & Training: Provide ongoing coaching, support, and mentoring to sanitation team members to optimize performance.
Collaboration with Other Departments: Work with Maintenance to keep machinery in optimal condition and QC/QA teams to uphold food safety standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 5 years of prior experience in sanitation within a food manufacturing environment is required.
Spanish fluency required.
Experience with chemical handling, sanitation testing, and audit preparation.
Experience of creating SSOP's.
Proven ability to lead, manage, motivate, and develop Sanitation staff members.
