Software Implementation Intern
Apply Online We are seeking an energetic, responsible intern to join our growing organization. In this position, you will be expected to learn the ins and outs of our daily routines and procedures. You will focus on learning how our organization runs. Work with our technology-driven solutions for property assessment and tax software and mass appraisal services. From data collection to computer-assisted mass appraisal to tax billing and collections, you can help develop property and recording solutions for the public sector.
Responsibilities
- Learn software: Test and learn software through trial and error. Use instructional videos and sessions available on Tyler University.
- Build knowledgebase: Create documentation on how software features work
- Track issues: Use tools like Jira to create the problems for bugs
- Attend meetings: Participate in meetings about project status, product demos, and issues
- Collaborate: Work with a cross-functional team
- Help with projects: Assist other team members with projects
- Review processes: Analyze current processes to identify areas for improvement
- Configure software: Customize software to meet client needs
- Implement new features: Test and deploy new features
- Onboard clients: Help new clients transition to new processes
Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Management Information Science, Business, or a related discipline.
- Solid knowledge or experience with Software Integrations and Cloud Hosted Applications preferred.
- Excellent initiative, interpersonal, collaboration relationship building, and customer service experience involving developing professional relationships with internal and external clients.
- Prior experience identifying, defining, analyzing, and documenting client work processes, data, systems, and/or related activities.
- Solid skills in negotiating and influencing clients to meet their needs by proposing viable solutions are preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail involving documentation and defining specific business processes.
- Strong organizational skills with a proven track record of prioritizing, managing, and executing multiple priorities successfully.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.

- Analytical and critical thinking skills and experience in the technical environment.
- Proven ability to consult successfully with clients or team members exhibiting sound judgment and presenting viable recommendations.
- Strong written and oral communication including conveying, documenting, preparing, presenting, and training various audiences on both technical and non-technical information.
- Experience or interest with Software Integrations and Cloud Hosted Applications preferred. This may include experience with API's and other third-party software integrations.
- Knowledge and application of relational database design and database structures (i.e. fields, tables, views, database objects, etc.) involving data flow, mapping, conversion scripts, etc.
- Knowledge and experience in creating and executing software test plans and reports.
- Knowledge and application of SQL including coding, modifying existing PL/SQL code, and writing moderately complex queries, scripts, and reports using tools like SQL Plus, SQL report writer, or related technologies.
- Solid knowledge and application of .NET framework (involving HTML, XSL, XML, and related technologies).
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (including but not limited to Visio and related tools).
- Knowledge and understanding of SQL Server and Oracle databases are preferred.
- Tax and appraisal industry and/or product knowledge is a plus.
