POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Red Peak Technical Services, LLC a subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC has an opening for Traffic Management Coordinators in the Lorton, VA area.The Traffic Management Coordinator supports the contract by coordinating equipment packing, handling shipments, preparing shipping documents, and managing logistics with agencies. It also includes monitoring shipments, post-clearance, and delivering materials to local offices.



  • Coordinate packing and crating of equipment.
  • Use forklift trucks to deliver and retrieve material from bulk packing area.
  • Coordinate shipments with DoS elements and other agencies.
  • Consolidating- shipments with other agencies, if possible.
  • Prepare labels, manifests, Government Bills of Lading (GBLs), Air Waybills and tags for overseas shipments.
  • Coordinate post clearance, if necessary. Monitor shipments in transit and notify posts of impending shipments.
  • Deliver/escort material to local offices.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Payrate:$29.22 Hourly

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Required Qualifications:



  • Specialized management experience in shipment of IT equipment worldwide.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A minimum of two (2) years' experience in airline cargo traffic management. Familiarity with International Air Transport Association (IATA) Dangerous Goods Regulations.
  • Familiarity with the packing and crating of overseas shipments.
  • Experience in Air Waybill preparation and tracking utilization data base tools.
  • Experience in the operation of forklift truck.
  • Experience with word processing software.
  • Commercial driver`s license and clean driving record - no accidents or moving violations within the last three (3) years
  • Valid State Driver's License
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Pursuant to the Government Contract, you must be a U.S. Citizen.


Preferred Qualifications or Skills:



  • Experience operating forklifts to handle materials safely and efficiently
  • Ability to problem solve issues such as shipment delays, discrepancies, or customs clearance efficiently
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and function in a fast-paced environment, meeting quick turnaround deadlines
  • Self-Starter and team working abilities
  • Knowledge in government supply-chain management and logistics functions
  • General understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
