Electrical Test Engineer

About the Role: We are looking for a Electrical Test Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be a key member of the engineering team supporting the design, evaluation, manufacture, test and delivery of high performance RF/Microwave and High Speed Digital cables. This is a hands-on engineering role expected to help with resolution of in-line yield issues, improve process robustness, design, and qualify manufacturing test equipment and test fixtures. You will also provide technical guidance and leadership in resolving production equipment issues in collaboration with the equipment maintenance team. A critical element to this role is to assess future test needs and test flow to identify test capability and equipment gaps and partner across teams to assist in defining a solution strategy.

This role will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits:



  • $85,000 - $115,000 per year

Responsibilities:



  • Cross-platform support for Microwave/RF/Digital cable manufacturing test and data analysis
  • Assist in the development and implementation of work instructions as it relates to product test
  • Participate in the development and execution of validation plans where electrical test equipment is being utilized
  • Assist engineering and manufacturing teams in understanding test-related issues impacting yield and process improvement
  • Collaborate on the design and evaluation of new products
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of frequency and time domain test systems commercially available
  • Collaborate globally in assessing frequency and time domain test capabilities including equipment and fixtures to improve quality and production throughput
  • Collaborate with the Application Engineers to support customer needs
  • Provide work leadership and train test technicians. Teach equipment setup, connections, principles of operation, maintenance, and diagnostics

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor of science degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Familiarity with electromagnetics and transmission line theory
  • Proven technical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently leading projects and in a team environment
  • Ability to document, communicate, and present technical bodies of work
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, and drive multiple projects concurrently



Desired Qualifications:



  • Hands-on experience in the use of frequency and time domain testing
  • Knowledge of ANSI/IEEE/IEC standards as they relate to electrical testing
  • Basic programming skills with languages such as Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, VBA, .NET, etc
