*Description*
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in providing Red Hat based solutions for our customers. Candidate should have at least 5-7 years systems engineering experience in Red Hat including systems solution design, installation, integration, and customer interaction. In addition, the selected engineer will maintain systems in production and development, provide systems support including patching, STIGs, troubleshooting, etc. Candidate will be working with a small team of Linux and Windows Systems Engineers supporting our customers' technical requirements and maintaining or development and operational networks. Candidate should be experienced with virtualization technologies and should be familiar with DoD information assurance requirements. There will be daily interaction with the team, customers and government representatives. Primary Responsibilities List daily duties and/or specific job responsibilities: *Support changes to the customer requirements *Installation and configuration of operating systems (Red Hat) *Configuration of Red Hat assets to meet STIG requirements *Configuration, administration and troubleshooting of Ansible Automation playbooks *Installation and support of COTS software, such as Jira, BIND, ELK and Ansible Automation Platform *Maintain environment with current releases of firmware and operating systems levels *Deploy, configure, maintain and administer new and existing servers, databases, storage and backups *Develop and maintain standard documentation such as work instructions, standard operating procedures and processes *Perform daily system monitoring, server integrity checks, review system and application logs, and verify scheduled job completion (backups, etc.) *Review system security scans and provide recommendations to resolve vulnerabilities *Test and apply OS, security patches and system upgrades as needed Basic Qualifications *Secret Clearance required; TS preferred *Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 engineering/administration experience *BS degree and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or relevant working experience in lieu of degree *Current, unexpired, CompTIA Security+CE (or equivalent) - will be verified before hiring *Current RHCSA - will be verified before hiring *Ability to effectively troubleshoot and remediate Red Hat Linux system issues *Experience writing, editing and implementing Ansible playbooks *Ability to write, edit, and interpret YAML files *Proficiency in Linux logical volume management (LVM) including volume creation, resizing, and management for efficient storage utilization *Understanding the management and configuration of SELinux and how it can affect application runtime and security *Ability to manage Red Hat Linux system users and system services *Effective communication and writing skills Preferred Qualifications Preferred Requirements: *Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 engineering and administration experience. *Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform engineering and administration experience. *DoD IA requirements (STIGs, vulnerability scans, patching, etc.) *BASH scripting experience *Experience with Red Hat Satellite *Experience with Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana (ELK) The successful candidate will have a proven track record in providing Red Hat based solutions for our customers.
