POSITION TYPE: M2, salaried with benefits (10 months) WAGE RANGE: 55k - 65k annually - depending upon experience SUPERVISORY: Yes SUPERVISED BY: VP of Resort Services POSITION SUMMARY: To provide inspiration, leadership, oversight, and direction to Schweitzer's Ski & Ride School operation. Responsible for all facets of the operation including safety initiatives, staff scheduling, training, budgeting, and working with the sales department to provide a seamless experience for our guests. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Will contribute to the overall vision, direction and implementation of Schweitzer Ski & Ride School and its programs by performing the following:
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Should have extensive knowledge of Schweitzer facilities and activities. Responsibilities are listed as guidelines and the position is not necessarily limited to these items. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Responsible for up to 8-10 hours of combined skiing/ standing/ desk activity. Will lift up to 40 pounds frequently and up to 80 pounds rarely. Will bend, squat, kneel, climb, balance, feel and reach above shoulder level occasionally to frequently. Hearing, speech, sight, walking, use of hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, are required. 80% outside that is exposed to all moisture levels and temperature changes. Hazards are ice and snow. JOB SPECIFICATIONS: SKILLS: Strong and effective interpersonal skills along with a strong work ethic, Ability to inspire, prioritize and delegate. Thorough knowledge of all aspects of the Ski & Ride School. Excellent communication skills both oral and written; computer skills with Microsoft Office required; excellent guest service skills; detailed, accurate, and organized. Extensive knowledge of ski mechanics and teaching methods. Winter Sports enthusiast and knowledge of mountain environment preferred. ATTRIBUTES: Professional manner, positive attitude, patient, confident, and has initiative EDUCATION: PSIA level 2 or 3 certification preferred. A four-year degree or equivalent experience preferred. EXPERIENCE: Relevant ski & snowboard school experience for a medium (100+ staff) sized school. REQUIRED: Level II or III PSIA Certification, passing a background check, valid driver's license and insurable. MACHINES, PROGRAMS AND TOOLS OPERATED: Computer; Microsoft Windows and Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, MS Teams, Siriusware/Accesso sales system and Flaik booking software.
