Position

The head of Finance Enablement will report to the Head of Corporate Finance. This role will lead a team of professionals responsible for building and maintaining a profitability and cost allocations approach that provides meaningful insights to Allspring leadership on business performance. The role will also be responsible for Finance-wide systems support including Oracle ERP and EPM capabilities in close partnership with Engineering and Technology counterparts. The leader will ensure that finance tools are fit for purpose and being used efficiently and effectively throughout the organization. Th Head of Finance Enablement will also partner with the CFO and Head of Corporate FP&A in maintaining a systems and capabilities roadmap for Finance, prioritizing enhancements and new capabilities as appropriate. As a member of the FP&A leadership team, the role will work closely with business executives other FP&A leaders to drive adoption of profitability reporting and insights throughout the organization. Partnering with leaders in Accounting and FP&A to ensure efficient finance operating rhythms will be critical to success.

We currently operate in a hybrid working model, whereby you will be required to work in-office 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

The Head of Finance Enablement will be responsible for the following activities:



  • Partner with executive leadership to design and implement Allspring's profitability methodology using cost drivers, activity-based metrics, and Oracle's PCMCS profitability engine.
  • Lead the team responsible ensuring that Finance Oracle ERP and EPM (Enterprise Planning & Budgeting, Profitability & Cost Management) suite are operating effectively and being used efficiently by end-users in Finance and Accounting.


  • Work closely with the Engineering and Technology organization to communicate Finance end-user requirements, design solutions that meet stakeholder needs, and troubleshoot issues promptly.
  • Leverage profitability information and data from other sources to provide decision support to leadership at critical inflection points and recommend actions to maximize earnings.
  • Work with FP&A and Accounting leadership to set the roadmap for future state-finance capabilities, prioritize enhancements, and make trade-offs as needed.
  • Partner with Accounting and FP&A leadership to maintain an efficient process for updating financial data, hierarchies, forecasts, profitability drivers, and reporting solutions.
  • Lead and architect the procurement of critical source data for Finance Teams, including FP&A, treasury, and accounting. Serve as subject matter expert for data flows through all finance systems including ERP, EPM, expense management, and commissions/ transactions processing.
  • Drive accountability for ownership and governance of key data sources, partnering with Engineering & Technology and other Finance leaders.
  • Recommend and implement solutions for storing, accessing, and analyzing finance data, taking into account Allspring's operating environment and stakeholder needs.
  • Determine fit for purpose reporting solutions for accounting and FP&A, prioritize and implement enhancements as needed.
  • Orchestrate governance mechanisms around key finance data elements and reporting hierarchies, including chart of accounts and cost allocations.
  • Develop presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders, including the Board of Directors, Ratings Agencies, and Executive Leadership.
  • Work closely with Allspring's Senior Leaders and FP&A teams, to drive adoption of profitability reporting and insights throughout the company, used to inform key business decisions.
  • Analyze and interpret Allspring and business area profitability results on an ongoing basis and recommend future actions to maximize earnings.
  • Maintain strong partnerships with key business partners, stakeholders and executives
  • Protects operations by maintaining strict confidentiality of company financial information.


Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting,, MIS, or a related quantitative discipline
  • 7-10+ years of experience in finance and/or accounting, financial analysis, planning, and/reporting
  • 7+ years of process improvement experience; especially experience that leverages technology
  • 5+ years of Oracle EPM cloud experience
  • 5+ years of Oracle Planning and Budgeting (EPBCS) experience
  • 5+ years of Oracle Planning and Budgeting (PCMCS) experience
  • 5+ years of experience with Oracle ERP
  • Prior experience with implementing profitability solutions is highly desired
  • Strong knowledge of financial modeling and budgeting techniques
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
