Why do we need you ?

Job Goals:

This position is responsible for sales and business development in support of the CoreTech product and capabilities portfolio, including sputtered films, coated films, and specialty release liners. The role requires a strong focus on account management and business development activities across the Midwest and Western territories of North America. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain and expand the existing customer base, identify new opportunities for both current and developmental products, and generate accurate sales forecasts for the territory. Additionally, they will be responsible for gathering and sharing competitive intelligence to inform business strategy, while also supporting marketing and product management initiatives. A key aspect of the role involves mapping the industrial landscape within the territory to identify growth opportunities in the Life Sciences, Automotive, Electronics, Habitat, and Aerospace markets in collaboration with market management.

Essential Functions of the Position:



  • Grow and strengthen existing accounts by leveraging current products and co-developed solutions while identifying new opportunities with potential customers.
  • Coordinate with customer service and manufacturing to ensure accurate and timely communication of customer demand, enabling efficient production scheduling to meet sales and service objectives.
  • Ensure accurate sales reporting by maintaining up-to-date records of all activities in Salesforce.
  • Identify new business opportunities by gathering competitive intelligence and tracking emerging market and technology trends, contributing to the development of new CoreTech product and market strategies.
  • Collaborate with the CoreTech business team to leverage market insights and product expertise, driving new business development.
  • Build and maintain internal networks within Saint-Gobain to uncover and pursue cross-selling opportunities.
  • Facilitate clear communication across all levels of CoreTech, including sales management, technical staff, marketing, customer service, and operations, to address customer needs and maximize growth opportunities.

Essential Requirements for the Position:

* Possess bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience in selling technical products.
* Minimum five (5) years' sales and business development experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within specialty film applications.
* Expertise in roll-to-roll coating and lamination of polymer films.
* Strong engineering and technical aptitude with the ability to understand complex processes.
* Excellent presentation and communication skills for engaging with diverse audiences.
* Ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization effectively.
* Self-motivated and capable of working independently, while also being a strong team player and leader.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with required experience using Salesforce for reporting and managing accounts and business development activities.
* Exhibit exceptional leadership skills, possess strong communication and influencing skills, and problem-solving skills
* Willingness to travel domestically within the assigned sales territory, up to 50% or as necessary.

Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees' wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position, which is $89,500 to $138,500 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 40% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $125,300 - $193,900. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
