IT Technician

IES Commercial, Inc. - Commercial & Industrial Division, seeking IT Technician, in Suffolk, VA.

Job Summary

• Identifies, researches, isolates, and resolves desktop system problems.
• Supports computer users by addressing various software and hardware issues.
• Provides secondary support to IES network analyst.
• Supports on-going system upgrades.
• Maintains reported user issues inside Service Desk Ticketing System per IT policies and procedures for documenting receipts and resolution of user issues.
• Attends IT/security related training classes and conferences as required.
• Adheres to company policies & procedures for IT practices, company information confidentiality and secured systems access to include compliance with PII (Personal Identifying Information) and user support system accesses.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Computer Science or other related field; or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Network systems/operating systems (Windows/MS Office products).
• Experience with Computer Hardware/Software Troubleshooting, Upgrades, and Conversions.
• Strong communication (written/oral), interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively support remote users via telephone/internet interfaces.
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check.
