Position Summary:
|
The Department of Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) at Yeshiva University's Katz School of Science and Health welcomes applications for a full-time Clinical Associate Professor. This is a hybrid position. The program takes a multidisciplinary, medical approach to diagnosing and treating speech, language, and communication cases. Through our comprehensive medically focused curriculum, students blend theory into clinical practice under the guidance of faculty, supervisors, and mentors. The Clinical Associate Professor will serve as the Curriculum Coordinator and teach academic and clinical coursework as part of the graduate program in Speech-Language Pathology. Responsibilities include the following: developing course syllabi; organizing and reviewing course syllabi across the department, reviewing syllabi for accreditation standards; teaching graduate course work; participating in advisement; providing supervision of graduate clinicians; serving as a connection between academic coursework and clinical education; participating in student retention and recruitment events as well as providing university, school, and departmental committee service.

Position Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Developing and writing syllabi
- Teaching graduate coursework
- Advising and mentoring students
- Participating in student recruitment and retention initiatives
- Participating in the development of departmental policies
- Supervising graduate students in the Katz Virtual Clinic and Peer-2-Peer training experiences
- Conducting remote site visits as needed
- Meeting regularly with the Program Director and program leadership
- Serving on university committees and professional services
- Contributing to continued CAA accreditation compliance
- Performing other duties as assigned

Experience & Educational Background:
|
- Graduate degree in communication sciences and disorders (CSD)
- Earned doctoral degree (PhD or EdD) in CSD
- Certified CCC-SLP member of ASHA and eligible for New York State licensure
- Previous teaching experience at the graduate level (8 + years) in the areas of aphasia, dysphagia, and neuromotor speech disorders

- Clinical experience with adult clients
- Meticulously organized
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Use of Microsoft Office

Salary Range:
|
$90,000-$105,000
