Production Associate(Laborer)

All PPE is provided by SGI and offers reimbursement for your safety boots and prescribed safety glasses.

Pay Rate: $24.64 (after 4-6 months if you pass the training successfully, your pay rate increases to $30.46/hr.)

Night shift: 11:00pm-7:00am (flexible to work OT and weekends)

Laborers perform physical labor, lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time.Work is performed outdoors. Laborers are subject to inclement weather such as rain, hot, and cold weather. Some areas will be dirty and dusty. The position will perform work such as dig ditches, holes and shovel piles of grit. Use shovel and broom to load wheelbarrow with grit and push to disposal area. Unplug chutes, clean up area of the plant, around crushers, elevators, conveyors as directed. Do any type of general labor, shovel mineral piles and use weed wacker as needed. Laborers are also required to assist in routine plant maintenance on planned down days. This includes helping with repairs and includes climbing ladders and carrying parts during the process of changing screens or patching holes in ductwork throughout the plant. Must be able to operate mobile equipment such as skid steer or forklift. Ensure the plant area meets or exceeds all safety standards for SGI (guards, walkways...etc.) and all work is performed safely. This is a full-time position.

Qualified candidates are required to have:

• High school diploma or GED
• Work in inclement weather, heights, confined spaces
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Candidates must be able to pass a background check, receive a satisfactory completion of a pre-employment and post-offer physical exam and drug screening.
