Operate and maintain several LC-high resolution mass spectrometers. Advance compound identification and quantification routines in conjunction with service projects. Improve Standard Operating Procedures, specifically for data acquisition, data processing and quality control. Perform sample preparation for high quality analyses of biological specimen in metabolomics and lipidomics, and develop and implement new methods when necessary. Utilize and improve high throughput assays for body fluids and tissues using laboratory automation and critical assessment of quality control/quality assurance with respect to selectivity, sensitivity, precision and accuracy. Supervise collaborators, visiting scholars and students during learning, implementation and carrying out SOPs in Metabolomics Core, including courses taught by the Metabolomics Core. Experience operating and maintaining mass spectrometers used in liquid chromatography. Experience in operating and maintaining liquid chromatography including reversed phase and hydrophilic interaction chromatography. Experience in method development in liquid chromatography. Experience in quantitative and qualitative analytical chemistry. Experience in data analysis and quality control procedures. Knowledge of method development in liquid chromatography. Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative Analytical chemistry and skills in data analysis and quality control procedures Preferred Qualifications Experience with method development for quantitative mass spectrometry, including triple quadrupole MS. Experience with high resolution mass spectrometers. Experience running a scientific service core. Experience in data processing of complex mixtures.
