Overview
Job Summary The Maintenance Tech 2 role requires a solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. This role will perform advanced maintenance tasks, diagnose issues, and ensure the optimal functioning of equipment. Functions and Responsibilities
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on mechanical systems, including motors, engines, and machinery.
- Assist in troubleshooting and repairing electrical circuits and wiring.
- Carry out minor plumbing repairs and maintenance.
- Support HVAC system maintenance and repairs under supervision.
- Utilize a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues.
- Follow preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance work and repairs.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure safety during tasks.
- Handle and dispose of hazardous materials safely.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and schematics.
- Use technical manuals and guidelines to assist in maintenance tasks.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate activities.
- Provide professional customer service to address maintenance concerns.

Minimum Qualifications
- 4 years of experience with a high school diploma or GED.
- Completion of a certified apprenticeship program, preferred.
- Journeyman license, preferred.
Abilities
- Lifts at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period of time.
- Relocates a 12 foot stepladder without assistance.
- Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders.
- Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
- Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.
- May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
- Tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
- Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
- Combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (including finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).
- See details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
