Posting Type Hybrid/Remote Job Overview The End User Support team manages all IT-related service requests from employees. The Systems Administrator assists with the implementation, maintenance and improvement of the company's expanding development operations infrastructure.Detailed Summary:As a Systems Administrator Intern, you will provide operational support to development teams, collaborate to understand development processes, and gain understanding of infrastructure, applications, tools, and ongoing automation efforts. You will support testing of software applications, participate in the improvement's workshops, and assist in resolving escalated issues. Additionally, you will learn to forecast future IT infrastructure needs, stay updated on industry trends, and demonstrate sound judgment and commitment to core company values. Job Description and Requirements Responsibilities: *Provide operational support to development teams. *Collaborate with development teams to gain understanding of development processes and workflows. *Serve as a source of knowledge for infrastructure, applications, tools, automation, source code management, code building, automated testing, server provisioning and administration, policy endorsement, monitoring and metrics on the systems used by development teams. *Support the testing of new and existing software applications under development. *Seek, identify, recommend and document improvements to processes. *Serve as a resource for escalations when issues arise, test solutions and follow up to ensure resolution. *Assist in forecasting future IT infrastructure needs. *Maintain knowledge of industry trends and technology. *Execute sound judgment and make independent decisions. *Demonstrate consistent commitment to core company values. Preferred Qualifications: *Experience with the following: scripting in PowerShell and Ruby; virtualization (Hyper-V and System Center Virtual Machine Manager); cloud services (Azure, Amazon web services or other offerings); infrastructure automation (Chef or SCCM); support of software development and the SDLC; continuous deployment tools (Jenkins); and Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket.) *Familiarity with ISO27001 and/or SOC2 compliance. *Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize based on company and team objectives. *Ability to work efficiently under pressure, drive projects to completion and meet deadlines. *Flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly to shifting company or team goals. This position is eligible for total compensation which includes a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives. The expected salary range for this role is between following values: $43,000 and $55,000The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top end of the range would not be typical, to allow for future meaningful salary growth in this position. |
