Acara Solutions is seeking a talented Test Technician to join our client in Torrance CA.
This is a Temporary position. Our client is mission-focused and agile. Our client is bringing tomorrow's technologies
to life today with commercial and defense electronics. The pay range is $31.87-$39.23 p/hr.
This Test Technician role is exciting with an innovative, high-growth defense technology company.
The ideal candidate for the position is someone with experience in product development, manufacturing, electronics,
and mechanical assembly. The role is critical to success of our client's hardware and will be responsible for RF circuit board testing.
This position will also be flexible and support electro-mechanical assembly and harness building as required
Test Technician Responsibilities:
  • Understands, plans, and executes testing and troubleshooting activities to produce a prototype, MIL-STD understanding desired
  • Assembles LRU and element array with direction from Engineers
  • Utilizes standard laboratory test equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, voltmeters, and other measurement equipment to perform engineering support functions
  • Troubleshoots equipment using standard documentation packages including assembly drawings and schematics
  • Works with various levels of the system (from the board and component level to the LRU, to the system level) to identify and resolve performance problems
Job Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience with electro-mechanical assembly
  • Test Experience--RF preferred, but not required
  • Testing and troubleshooting skills with the capability of defining and configuring standard
  • Special test equipment to perform tests at the circuit card, LRU or system level
  • Ability to work with standard laboratory test equipment
  • Knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety elements, especially related to RF testing
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Collaborative; capable of working across all levels of the organization
  • US Citizen and/or Permanent Resident (future security clearance may be required)
PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Associate's Degree in technical field or equivalent trade school or military training.
  • 5 years of related experience
  • Soldering certification and experience soldering cables and harnesses (circuit boards come pre-assembled)
  • J-Standard certification
  • IPC-610 certification
  • IPC-620 certification
  • Aerospace/Defense experience and/or military experience
  • Knowledge of Production Systems and Lean Manufacturing elements
  • Experience with ISO9001/AS9100 quality management systems elements
  • Experience with python executables
