Sentara Leigh Hospital is hiring a Full-time, Rotating Shift, Food Service Worker.

This is a full-time position with rotating shift hours located in Norfolk, VA. Work 8-hour rotating shifts and every other weekend.

(Up to $1,000 Sign-on Bonus for qualified candidates)

Job Requirements

  • Certified Food Service Handler's Card Required (as required by local Health Department).
  • Active Learning, Active Listening, Communication, Critical Thinking, Monitoring, Reading Comprehension, Service Orientation, Speaking, Time Management, Writing Required
  • High School Grad or Equivalent/ Experience in Lieu of degree/diploma will be accepted.

Position Overview

Responsible for basic food preparation and service and ensuring that all portions are accurate. Provides all necessary equipment and supplies; maintains sanitation of all service areas and equipment. Follows departmental operating procedures for recipes, menus, quality, and all regulatory guidelines.

Sentara Leigh Hospital is a Magnet Status, 250-bed facility featuring all patient-friendly private rooms and specializing in orthopedic, gynecological and urological services. Sentara Leigh offers a contemporary care environment for general medical/surgical and ambulatory services and is home to the orthopedic hospital, which has 48 beds dedicated to specialized orthopedic care.
