The Beirne B. Carter Center for Immunology Research and the Precision ImmunoMedicine (iPRIME) Initiative at the University of Virginia is seeking a highly motivated Clinical Research Coordinator 1 or 2 to become a key member of the Prominence-to-Preeminence (P2PE) STEM initiative titled "iPRIME: Immunology and Informatics for Precision ImmunoMedicine (iPRIME) in Cardiovascular Disease." In collaboration with the Schools of Medicine, Engineering and Applied Science, Nursing, and Data Science, the goal of implement Precision ImmunoMedicine (iPRIME) is to designate UVA as the premier location for targeting the immune system for research, diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease (CVD) using cutting-edge technology, advanced clinical imaging, and innovative, sophisticated artificial intelligence. This hybrid position works closely with world-renowned Principal Investigators in their field, and other research team members in the laboratory. The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) will conduct the following tasks: isolation of immune cells from patient blood samples, consenting of research subjects, collection of study data and patient database management (RedCap), prepare appropriate study documentation, ensure compliance with protocol guidelines and requirements of regulatory agencies. Physical Demands This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs The position will remain open until filled. This is a benefitted position.
