JOB SUMMARY The Project Manager role will work under moderate supervision to assist with auditing activities of UT Southwestern Medical Center in partnership with the selected third-party Internal Audit partner. Conducts auditing assignments to determine effectiveness of controls and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Required

Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business administration, information systems or related area
- Experience
3 years audit experience required
Preferred
- Education
Master's Degree Master's degree or professional certification as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
- Experience
<1 year Healthcare or higher education industry experience is highly desirable.

JOB DUTIES
- Acts as a liaison between UTSW and the selected third-party Internal Audit partner to perform internal audits, follow-up reviews and consulting engagements relative to UTSW operations.
- Coordinate audit activities on behalf of the selected third-party Internal Audit partner, including access requests, stakeholder introductions, and scheduling meetings.
- Prepares and reviews audit programs and work papers to ensure findings and recommendations are adequately documented and audit work is performed according to appropriate auditing standards and prescribed Internal Audit departmental policies.
- Develops and reviews audit reports or memorandum to support audit conclusions and provide summary of consulting engagements with particular regard to achieving understandability of audit issues and recommendations by all levels of management and the board.
- Performs data analytics as part of internal audits, investigations, continuous monitoring or upon special requests.
- Conducts and/or participates in meetings with clients, UTSW administration and department personnel to discuss audits, consulting engagements, system implementations or other matters. Establishes and maintains effective working relations with clients and department personnel.
- Assists audit management in the development of the Audit risk assessment and audit plan and serves as technical subject matter expert to assist audit management in providing technical guidance to audit team and business management.
- Provides working supervision to assigned auditors, including performance evaluations at completion of each audit.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
