Job Overview

Meramec Instrument Transformer is seeking a Training Specialist to join the team! The Training Specialist will develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive employee training program for all employees including , new employee onboarding, on-the-job-training (OJT), safety and machine specific training, lean and 5S training, while fostering a culture of safety and support, and driving operational excellence.

A Day In The Life

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the site's training program.
  • Plan, create, and coordinate training schedules for all assigned operations and departments, verify effectiveness of training, and maintain all training records.
  • Develop / Maintain training documents, instructions, processes.
  • Train new hires on company policies and procedures and use the best training methods for a specific purpose or audience.
  • Work with departmental managers to identify training needs and create new curriculum
  • Gather and evaluate information from employees and management on previous training to identify weaknesses and areas that need additional training.
  • Recommend training materials and methods for improved engagement and effectiveness.
  • Work safely and encourage safe working behaviors, Prioritizing safety in all aspects of training.
  • Work with the team to increase depth of organizational knowledge and improve efficiency.
  • Must be flexible, innovative and self- motivated.
  • Other duties as assigned such as but not limited to operational improvement process.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Over 2 years' experience in developing and delivering training programs. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word, & Outlook)
  • Clear, energetic, and engaging presentation with strong communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems quickly.
  • Ability to work with a team or independently and be a self-starter.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
