Position Overview The Account Service Representative position is responsible for general Retail, Business, and Commercial Banking activity (Personal Banking/Teller), reception area and general office administration as well as other duties as required from time to time. This is a high visibility role; incumbent is the face and representation of the Bank and must exhibit a positive and welcoming manner. Essential Job Functions * Greets and welcomes guests, clients/customers to our offices. Notifies officers of guest arrivals or handles required banking needs of client/customer. * Answers telephone and assists caller or redirects them to appropriate person or department. * Pre-registers visitors to office with building security. Screens calls from building security when clients/customers visit office to handle their banking needs. * Accurately opens, closes, and maintains customer accounts according to established policies and procedures. * Utilizes cross training as a Teller to handle basic transactions including cashing checks, processing deposits and withdrawals, and adhering to processes and procedures including balancing drawer. * Provides service to Retail, Business, and Commercial clients including opening new accounts (including retail, business, and investment accounts), processing payments or transfers, and resolving servicing issues. * Provides additional support to Commercial Officers and Commercial Banking Administrators as and when need arises. * Processes outgoing mail, i.e., label envelopes and apply appropriate postage, arrange for messenger services, prepare envelopes and labels for overnight delivery. Keeps appropriate records; update files and records as needed. * Reserves conference rooms and hoteling offices as requested. Maintains appearance of reception area, conference rooms, guest sitting area, and all common areas. This will entail working with manager and building management. * Responsible for monitoring of teller, office, and breakroom supplies. In addition, will also be responsible for ordering supplies as needed and requested. Prepares office refreshments daily and monitors supply. * Manages established vendor relationships, coordinating service calls and providing building access as appropriate. * Serves as document coordinator to ensure proper documentation is gathered for new loans, renewals, and covenant monitoring. * Runs and tracks key reports to identify and follow up on past dues, renewals, and other actionable account data. Minimum Requirements * High school diploma (or equivalent) and one or more years of banking experience in areas of commercial or retail banking and/or loan support, or related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * This role requires individual to work onsite daily, Monday-Friday, from 8am-5pm. * Must maintain professional appearance and demeanor. Competencies * Retail Banking experience with ability to open/close/service accounts and process Teller transactions. * Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. * Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively. * Strong software aptitude and computer proficiency. * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. * Strong organization and time management skills with excellent attention to detail and follow up. * Works well independently and with a team. Preferred, but not required * Associate's degree or greater in related field * Strong customer service experience with Retail, Business, Commercial or Private Banking clients a plus Location Details: This position requires the incumbent to work onsite on a daily basis to perform the regular responsibilities of the role.
