JOB SUMMARY
This job works under minimal supervision to direct operation of program or project, exercising independent judgment and authority as required.

The Simmmons Cancer Center is hiring a Program Coordinator. The purpose of this position is to provide oversity of Multi-Site Investigator Initiated Trials (IIT) throughout open to enrollment process: 1. Pre-Study Activities 2. Protocol Review & Monitoring Committee (PRMC); Review new study packet and PRMC forms for completeness; Submit all study documents to Regulatory 3. Performance Site Review (PSR) Form Submission & Approval 4. Budget Approval/Finalization 5. Clinical Trial Agreement (CTA) - Review funding source contract for potential issues before submission into eAgreements 6. Study Updates (Time to Activation) 7. Study Activation 8. Sub-Site Management

Primary job focus will be on managing all steps to study time to activation, preparing and negotiating budgets for multi-site trials. Additionally, the candiate will submit request for coverage analysis and confidentiality disclosure agreements (CDA), assist as needed with FDA IND or IDE applications, determine and resolve factors that are delaying study time to activation and provide updates to Principal Investigator of the study as well as the Clinical Research Manager. Other duties include the ability to prepare, disseminate and finalize sub-site budgets.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required



  • Education
    Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Education/Social Science, or related field


  • Experience
    5 years Experience in appropriate field or
    May consider additional years of experience in lieu of education.


JOB DUTIES



  • Analyzes, coordinates, and evaluates program operation and procedures.
  • Develops or oversees development of budget for program.
  • Develops, cultivates, and maintains working relationships with internal/external departments/agencies and other organizations associated with and/or receiving benefit from program.
  • Establishes program goals and objectives and directs program evaluation and quality control activities; develops and/or approves schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving goals.
  • Plans and coordinates special events. Participates in conferences. Presents data and program information.
  • Responsible for design, execution, and effectiveness of system of internal controls, which provides reasonable assurance that operations are effective and efficient, assets are safeguarded, and financial information is reliable.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Reads literature and attends functions to keep abreast of relevant scientific and technical developments related to program.
  • May provide supervision to staff members.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
