COMPANY PROFILE:

AgTexas Farm Credit Services serves and supports approximately 2,600 member/borrowers in areas of lending, insurance sales, appraisal, and/or leasing. Eleven office locations can be found throughout the Association's 43-county trade territory, and the association has an average loan volume of approximately $2.85 billion, with total assets equaling $3.2 billion. The lending portfolio consists of cotton, livestock, dairy, feed grains, real estate, and ag-related business loans. Additionally, the association territory provides diversity in production and mortgage loans as well as commodities financed. Without strong financial backing farmers and ranchers will not survive, and people will not have food to eat or clothes to wear. AgTexas provides reliable credit and crop insurance to our member-owners, so they can feed and clothe the world.

POSITION:

The Communications / Customer Engagement Specialist position is located in Lubbock, TX with a salary that is negotiable, depending upon experience.

*AgTexas, at its sole discretion, may offer this position with a different title based upon the qualifications of the candidate.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in communications, advertising, public relations, related field, or equivalent experience and three (3) or more years of experience in communications, advertising, or outreach, preferably in the financial services or agricultural sector. Performs a variety of tasks. This position requires a moderate latitude for decision making.

JOB SCOPE AND PURPOSE:

This position is responsible for developing and executing communication strategies that enhance customer engagement, brand awareness, and educational outreach efforts. This role will focus on delivering clear, compelling messaging to farmers, agribusinesses, and rural communities to promote the Association's agricultural lending products and services.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

The ideal candidate for this position will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage at all organizational levels. Additionally, the ability to write effectively and convey communications is required. Intermediary understanding of agricultural lending practices and regulations is ideal. Must be intermediate in skill level with Microsoft Office applications. The ideal candidate will display leadership, organizational, and time management skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:



  • Develop and implement communication plans that align with business objectives and enhance customer engagement.
  • Create content for various communication channels, including website, email campaigns, newsletters, press releases, and educational materials.
  • Coordinate and execute outreach programs, including workshops, webinars, and community events, to educate customers on agricultural lending products and financial best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, advertising, and customer service, to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Monitor and analyze communication and outreach initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners, media, and community organizations to expand the company's outreach efforts.
  • Assist with CEO and corporate communication, including speeches, presentations, and executive messaging.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and customer needs to ensure relevant and timely communication.
  • Develop, execute, and promote Young, Beginning and Small farmer programs.
  • Manage and promote the Association's AgYouth of the Month program.


WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Frequent interaction with association departmental staff and management. Occasional interaction with Farm Credit Bank of Texas staff. Occasional interaction with area professionals who deal with the association in the normal course of business.
